Pilgrim’s Song

the earth is wonderful
heaven is magnificent
the journey of souls is sweet with song
all through those blossoming
kingdoms of earth we seek
the promised land where we belong

new times will come again
then someday they’ll join the past
Like generations they move along
heavenly harmonies
won’t ever fade away
that joyful noise, the pilgrim’s song

they saw the angels sing
shepherds were the first to hear
that song of light shining through darkness:
peace comes to earth, rejoice!
everyone celebrate!
a savior has been born to us
